Vanessa and Matt are really onto a good thing. Concerned by a growing sense of disconnection between food production and consumption and inspired by hundred year old practices in Europe, they began a mission to bring back the bees by harvesting honey on inner city rooftops around Melbourne. The honey is bottled in jars according to the suburb where the hive was, Carlton, North Melbourne, Brunswick, St Kilda and so on. They say that no two suburbs taste the same and it is actually true! These little pots of sunshine are now available instore. Alphington in stock for $12.50 a jar, Carlton and East Brunswick test tubes also available for $5 a pop!
